Carmel Drugstore is a rare treasure. Since switching from CVS to Carmel Drugstore 5 years ago, there has not been one mistake on prescriptions or deliveries. Caring and friendly staff are truly superior professionals and never confused by long and/or complicated orders. This small store is packed with many high quality items that can't be found at big, chain drugstores, such as Mason Pearson brushes. New Yorkers will find Carmel Drugstore much like the old Cambridge Chemists (before the move to Lexington Ave.) in the relaxed neighborhood vibe, knowledgable and helpful staff and attention to detail that prevents mistakes on prescription orders or deliveries.

I adored visiting this shop on vacation. My visit was 2 years ago in July. I loved their selection of up market soaps and cosmetics. You can't find these at a typical drugstore!. Now, this was pre-lockdown. Home delivery they advertised to Carmel-by-the-Sea residents only was over the top service!

We went there to find French perfumes, and we also found nice lipsticks, eye pencils, body creams, and the owner gifted us some sweet 4711 little sample size colognes, so that was a nice cherry 🍒 on top. And the sales lady was very helpful and nice!! …

What a wonderful drug store, really friendly staff. I was greeted by the very kind young Pharmacist, who went above and beyond. The 3 staff I encountered were delightful. My go to Pharmacy in Carmel from now on.

A hidden gem in Carmel! The staff is professional and helpful. They have the most special selection of toiletries, perfumes, and bath products among others finds. My husband and I both love visiting here. He has found his new favorite shaving products here. If you forget your toothbrush, they have that too.

I seen some lotions I purchased in Paris and I haven’t seen them anywhere else. The store does have a big selection of skincare products. Very nice drug store. I also found some postcards. I’m a postcard gal.

This drug store is a true life saver if you are vacationing in Carmel. My friend needed a toothbrush during our visit and it was no problem at all. They have every essential you might forget at home along with a nice selection of small souvenirs. The store is clean, organized, and easy to navigate, which makes a quick stop feel simple and stress free. It is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, so you can walk in during your day without going out of your way. This store is also open later than most shops in the area. We will definitely come back here if we need anything else during future trips. It is one of those places you are grateful to have nearby when you are traveling.
